Edison 2.0 is going to make its first appearance with lots of other cool RobotFun robots on this Sunday, December 4, 2016. We will be one of the attractions at PhysicsFest Ipswich, which is being held at Northgate High School, Sidegate Lane East, Ipswich. The event is on Sunday, December 4, 2016 and runs from 1pm to 4pm. Thanks to the East Anglia branch of the Institute of Physics for the invitation.
Edison 2.0 is an improved version of the small, cheap, Lego compatible driving robot from Australia. The new Edison now has digital encoders on its wheels. Encoders allow the robot to drive much straighter than its predecessor. The biggest software change to Edison 2.0 a new way of programming it using Python. Edison is programmed in a unique way that uses a special audio cable. This means that it is programmable by any web browser on any computing platform. Come along on Sunday and try it out!
